Meet you where the words are

Your AI writing copilot for the whole web.

You shouldn’t paste drafts into another window just to tighten tone or fix grammar. WordPlume opens in Chrome’s side panel: highlight anything, run instant actions, then keep chatting until it sounds exactly right. Your keys, your models, zero tab-hopping.

Why WordPlume

Protect your attention

The best edits happen next to the source. Stay on the page you’re already in, whether email, wiki, ticket, or doc, and ship cleaner sentences without breaking flow.

Choose your intelligence

Plug in the hosted APIs you trust or a local stack for sensitive drafts. Swap models when the task changes; WordPlume keeps the UI consistent so muscle memory sticks.

Own your credentials

Keys live in extension storage on your machine, not routed through a WordPlume backend for inference. You decide what leaves the browser and where it lands.

Speed when it counts

Turn rough highlights into polished prose, instantly.

Every busy writer needs the same toolkit: tighten tone, fix grammar, translate, shorten for Slack, lengthen for execs. Run the perfect preset with one click, then hop into chat when you need nuance a button can’t capture.

Improve writing Fix grammar Explain Summarize Continue writing Rephrase Shorten Lengthen Simplify Change tone Translate Custom actions
Iterate like a creative director

Quick wins first: deep refinement without starting over.

Most AI tools spit out an answer and disappear. WordPlume stays in the thread: run an action on your selection, then keep refining it in follow-up chat until every sentence earns its place.

Quick action Fix grammar Translate Change tone
Follow-up in chat “Make it friendlier.” “Now shorten it.” “Make it executive-level.”
Continue the conversation

Keep pushing until it lands.

Same sidebar thread, same highlighted context. Nudge tone, trim fluff, or escalate formality without copying/pasting into yet another chat tab.

Straight answers

Questions worth asking before you install.

Privacy, credentials, shortcuts, and what WordPlume actually costs: plain English, no marketing asterisks.

No. Requests include the text you selected (and chat history you send) plus optional page context only when you enable that mode. Nothing runs against “the whole browser” in the background. Each action is explicit.
Whichever provider and model you configure, whether cloud APIs or a local OpenAI‑compatible endpoint. There isn’t a fixed “WordPlume model”; you stay in control.
In the browser’s extension storage on your machine. Keys are sent only to the LLM provider or gateway you configured, not to a WordPlume server for account management.
Yes. Open Settings → Shortcuts to adjust the global summon shortcut (defaults to Cmd+Shift+Space / Ctrl+Shift+Space) and review command shortcuts handled by the browser.
WordPlume is available on Google Chrome today. Builds for Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox are coming soon, with the same sidebar workflow packaged for each browser.
WordPlume doesn’t bill as a subscription today. Your costs come from the AI providers you connect (if any). Local models can run without cloud fees beyond your own hardware.
You’re one click away

Your next sentence is one keystroke away.

Tap Add to Chrome, pin WordPlume to your sidebar, and follow the skippable onboarding to connect your provider. Then draft faster everywhere text matters on the web.
