Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the WordPlume browser extension and the marketing website at wordplume.com (collectively, the “Service”), operated by WordPlume (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By installing WordPlume, visiting this website, or clicking to accept during onboarding, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

License to use the extension

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use one copy of the WordPlume browser extension for your personal or internal business purposes, in accordance with its documented features and applicable store policies (for example, the Chrome Web Store).

This license does not sell or transfer ownership of the Software to you. The extension is licensed, not sold. For additional detail, see the LICENSE file distributed with the project source where applicable.

Restrictions

Unless applicable law gives you rights that cannot be waived, you agree not to:

  • copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the extension or website materials;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension, except where prohibited by law;
  • redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or sell the extension or any portion of it;
  • remove or alter copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices;
  • scrape, mirror, or republish marketing copy, screenshots, icons, or store listing text without written permission;
  • use the WordPlume name, logo, or branding to suggest endorsement, partnership, or a competing product without permission.

Intellectual property and trademarks

The Service—including source code, object code, user interface, documentation, marketing copy, graphics, icons, and the selection and arrangement of those materials—is owned by WordPlume and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

WordPlume™ and the WordPlume logo are trademarks of WordPlume. You may not use our trademarks except as necessary to refer to the extension in a factual, non-misleading way (for example, “I use WordPlume in Chrome”).

Website content

Text, images, and layout on wordplume.com are for information and marketing purposes. You may link to our pages with a standard hyperlink. You may not frame the site, bulk-download content, or reuse our copy in another product listing, blog, or extension store page without permission.

Third-party services

WordPlume connects to AI providers and endpoints you configure. We do not provide those models or APIs. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for API keys, fees, and compliance with provider rules.

Browser stores (such as Google Chrome Web Store), font CDNs, and other infrastructure may apply additional terms when you install or browse.

Acceptable use

You agree to use WordPlume lawfully and responsibly. You will not use the Service to:

  • violate applicable laws or third-party rights;
  • generate or distribute unlawful, harmful, or abusive content;
  • attempt to bypass provider rate limits, security, or billing controls;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users’ browsers.

You must comply with the terms of websites you write on and with your employer’s policies where applicable.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. AI outputs may be inaccurate or inappropriate. WordPlume does not provide professional advice. A fuller disclaimer appears in the extension under Settings → About.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WordPlume and its developers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or reliance on AI-generated content.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

Changes

We may update these Terms when the Service changes materially. We will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
